New York College of Podiatric Medicine

The New York College of Podiatric Medicine (NYCPM), hosted Dr. Kagan as a guest speaker in April of 2013. During this meeting, his passion for forensic podiatry sparked an interest among our students. We then began NYCPM's very first Forensic Club with the help of Dr. DiMaggio and Dr. Kagan. This has provided the opportunity of exposing NYCPM students to a whole new spectrum of the field of podiatric medicine. Our club hosts Dr. Kagan regularly, who has provided us with presentations and workshops on different aspects of Forensic podiatry. We have watched the club grow in members and are excited to contribute to the field of Forensic Podiatry.
By August of 2014,16 students at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine have now completed the first Forensic Podiatry course
taught in an American College of Podiatric Medicine which included both didactic lectures and clinical workshops. The students were enthusiastic in their learning and inquisitive in their questioning. Some are also pursuing a research project under the direction of Bryan B. Kagan, DPM.
