American and Spanish forensic podiatrists Dr. Michael Nirenberg (left in photo) from Crown Point, Indiana, and Dr. Pablo Martinez-Escauriaza (right in photo) from Barcelona, Spain, presented at the prestigious American Association of Forensic Sciences annual conference in Las Vegas this past week (February 22-27). Dr. Martinez-Escauriaza presented his poster “Forensic Podiatry and Human Identification — The State of This Art in European Countries” and Dr. Nirenberg gave a lecture “Forensic Podiatry — How Gait, Footwear, and Footprints Convict Criminals.” More than 4,000 international forensic experts attended the conference this year.
Dr. Martinez-Escauriaza will be teaching forensic podiatry at the University of Barcelona this September.
